I’ve been on a Taylor Jenkins Reid kick lately! I think you’d like Malibu Rising. I totally relate to wanting to read to avoid brain melt. We can do it!
I really enjoy TJR! Malibu Rising was actually one of the few books I read last year. I listened to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo years ago and I *loved* it.
I recently finished A Court of Thorns and Roses and was enthralled... others I really loved are Nora Goes Off Script, Book Lovers, Sunshine Girl by Junianna Margulies, and another memoir called Maybe You Should Talk to Someone (I recommend listening to this one and Sunshine Girl)
Thank you, Joanna! Putting these on my list. I just did a quick Google of A Court Of Thorns and Roses and that looks right up my street -- plus I've been itching for a good series. Thanks for the audio recs, too; I'm always looking for something to listen to at work.
I just finished I Have Some Questions For You by Rebecca Makkai—so so good. Part slow-burn murder mystery, part fiction memoir. I was sad when it was over! If you're into romance novels (I didn't use to be, but a friend turned me on, no pun intended, to them), Seven Days in June by Tia Williams was also great.

Adding these to my list, Caite! I'm not usually a romance reader, but you really sold me with that pun and I am IN. haha!
